You can get married sooner

Couples who choose to have a weekday wedding will be able to get married sooner. Hear us out… if you are determined to get married on a day that suits most people, such as a Saturday, you will find yourself selecting dates further and further away. But, if you want to get married sooner, selecting an offpeak date or opting for a weekday wedding is your best bet. Because of Covid, lots of the prime dates for 2021, 2022 and even 2023 are already getting booked up.

You’ll have more suppliers to choose from

Often, popular wedding suppliers get booked up months, and sometimes years in advance. Not surprisingly, your wedding ‘Dream Team’ is probably fully booked for all the key wedding dates this year. One of the fabulous things about a weekday wedding is that you are more likely to find incredible suppliers who are free on your day!

It’s cheaper

Hosting a weekday wedding will prove to be more affordable for you and for your guests. Because a weekday wedding isn’t typical, you could negotiate an offpeak wedding rate with your venue and suppliers. A bonus is that your guests won’t be paying as much for travel and accommodation!

Your guest list will be smaller

Some might see this as a reason not to get married midweek, but we think this is a bonus! Sure, not everybody will be able to take time off work to come and celebrate with you, but the ones who are able to do so, will be there to make your day epic. You’ll have a smaller, more intimate wedding, and you’ll be able to spend quality time with everybody. We think this is a huge win!

A meaningful date

For anybody who is wanting to tie the knot on a meaningful date, such as an anniversary, allowing yourself to consider a weekday wedding date means you’ve got more options! For some, if you want to get married on your dating anniversary and on a Saturday, you might be waiting a number of years for those two significant events to overlap.
