Getting engaged and planning your wedding day is a very exciting chapter of your life, and it won’t just be you who is excited – your family will be too! If you would like to include them in your wedding planning we’ve got great ideas to help you out…

Ask them to help with any DIY aspects of your day

Have you chosen to create your own signage or table decor? Have a fun day getting your nearest and dearest over to help out, we can guarantee lots of craic and fun! With more people helping out the process will be quicker and you won’t feel wedding DIY burnout.

Have them proofread your stationery

You know when you read something over and over and it looks perfect, there’s a good chance you won’t notice any small errors, but someone with a sharp eye will spot it.

Collate addresses for postage

This might seem like a never-ending task for you but why not ask a family member on each side to collate all the addresses needed for posting invites. You’ll be glad to give this job away, believe us!

Provide on the day transport

Save a few quid and get your family member involved by asking them to provide transport on the day, especially if they’ve got a fancy motor!

Offer a family recipe for the reception or day two

Have you got a special family recipe for something really special? Why not ask your family member to make it for your reception or day two celebration. It’ll add a beautiful and very personal touch to your celebration.

When you’re giving out jobs it’s a great idea to keep a spreadsheet of who is doing what, that way there’ll be no parts forgotten or done twice.
