We met… on Inishbofin Island, the bride’s home place.
Our proposal… was on Christmas Day 2014. He went down on one knee with his Christmas jumper lighting up.
His suit… was navy blue with a rose gold tie bought in Corless Formalwear, Galway.
My dress… was designed by Venus. It was a Fit and Flare dress and I fell in love with it when I tried it on. I bought it in Belladonna Bridal in Galway.
Our ceremony… was in the St. Mary’s Church, Claddagh.
We chose our photographer because… His photos looked amazing on his website (Alex Zarodov Photography) and he had very good deals compared to some we had priced previously.
What our bridal party wore… Rose gold sequin dresses bought in Thistles in Galway which is located in Woodquay.
We chose our venue because… it was looking over Galway Bay and my husband and I both grew up around the sea. Our wedding coordinator at the Galway Bay Hotel was great under pressure and he made all of our wishes come true, within reason of course.
My favourite part of the wedding day… when we got to relax and got to really celebrate after the meal when the band started playing.
Our wedding theme/colours… Rose gold and navy.
My piece of advice for other couples… the day really does fly by so take it all in and embrace every second of it. Don’t panic or be nervous walking down the aisle, everybody that is there is there for ye guys and to celebrate your wedding day.
