Pretty Grey & Peach Wedding Inspiration Summer 2017

Décor & Flowers

Peach may have garnered a bad rep from the late 80s, when it seemed like every Angie, Babs and Debbie was shoved into a pouffy, marshmallow-like space dress for their aunty’s wedding and who still have the fuzzy photos to prove the abuse (just kidding, they thought they looked massive). Anyway peach is having somewhat of a style reemergence in its new place as this year’s pink (or rose… or blush… as we’ve come to refer to it as).

Now while we’re liking what we’re seeing on Pinterest boards at the moment, this colour has all the ingredients to suffer subtle shade overload, so do approach with caution. A very light peach dress for the bridesmaids will look fab – think more pastel than anything – but pair it with a huge floral crown and you’re taking vintage, retro and boho to dangerous levels. Inject a little in your bouquet – a beautiful big Protea will do nicely – or serve up some refreshing peach cocktails and mocktails during your drinks reception to give a pretty burst of colour to the room. Check out our moodboard below to give you a few ideas of how to add peach to your wedding decor in a non-naff way – we suggest using a classic grey and natural greenery to anchor the shade and make sure things don’t get too Italia 90.
