If you are just beginning your wedding planning journey, you’ll soon discover that it is very easy to burn through money! Working out a budget and doing your best to stick to it is one way of keeping your stress levels down. Today we’re sharing our tips for allocating your budget to all aspects of your wedding day. 

With your overall budget in mind it’s best to break it down and allocate to each area of your plans. We’ve given you a rough guide to get you started, but you’ll need to adjust it according to your priorities. 

Venue and food: 40% 

Photography and videography: 15% 

Wedding dress & attire for bridal party: 10% 

Music and entertainment: 15% 

Flowers and decor: 10% 

Gifts & favours: 2% 

Transport: 3% 

Stationery: 3%

Cake: 2% 

Remember: This is a guide to get you started, always consider your personal preferences and allocate your budget accordingly to the areas you feel are most important.
