2. Know your style and budget
Understanding what you love when it comes to flowers is important, as is having a budget in mind. You may not know the name of every flower you want to include, or exactly how much you will have to spend, but having a general overview of what you are drawn to and a general idea of how much you would like to spend is two things your florists will need to know early on in the process.
3. Ask for recommendations
Ask your just married friends and family for their recommendations. Maybe you were recently a wedding guest and the flowers were out of this world, find out who did them!
4. Ensure you have plenty of time
As with all wedding suppliers, the most popular will book out earlier. As a general rule of thumb around 12 - 18 months before your date is a great time to book your florist.
5. Contact your favourite three
Armed with a good idea of what your floral style will be and a list of potentials, we suggest contacting three florists, anymore and you’ll get very confused! Enquire about their processes and being the journey of receiving a floral quote.
6. Know basic requirements
As well as your style and colours florists will need to know the number of items you need, number of bridesmaids, buttonholes etc.
7. Receive your quotes, examine them and hopefully book!
Once you receive your quotes compare and decide which florist works best for you. Ensure you are happy with all the details on the terms and conditions of the quotation before you take the plunge and book. Good luck!
