Don’t do it alone

Don’t do it alone! If you are more organised than your Other Half, you’ve probably taken on the bulk of the wedding planning. Don’t forget that you don’t have to do it all yourself. Here’s a list of a few ways you can get help and support while planning your wedding, so that the responsibility is shared:

– Your Other Half (seems obvious, but don’t forget it!)
– The wedding party – they’re there to help!
– Your family – get them to do smaller tasks so you can focus on the big stuff.
– Your suppliers – trust them and release them to bring your plans to life.
– US – yep, we’re here to help too. Take a look at our planning section to find all our wedding planning resources and helpful tips. And always feel free to DM us if you’ve got questions!

Have a wedding planning email account

Create a wedding planning email address, a free Gmail account will do. This way you can compartmentalise your wedding planning time from your work time. If you’ve got one inbox with all your emails, you’ll find yourself getting distracted from work with nagging wedding planning tasks.

Another bonus: if you’re hunting for something one of your suppliers sent you, it’ll all be in your wedding email account.

Have a dedicated wedding planning day

In the first few months of wedding planning, you should dedicate a particular day/evening to do all your wedding planning. That way, you can avoid feeling like you’ve got to planning your wedding with every spare moment you’ve got. You’ll need to increase your frequency as you get closer to the wedding day, but this will keep you sane!

Use a checklist

A wedding planning checklist is a helpful way to keep track of all the tasks you need to do. Our wedding planning checklist divides all your tasks according to what should be done when. It’s a fabulous way to make sure you aren’t overwhelmed by tasks that don’t need to be done right now.
