Astrid and Dougie’s engagement story took place in one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland!
Dougie says, “We took a trip to Ennis, so we went to the Cliffs of Moher. At the far point of the cliffs, I pop the question, and she just hung her hand. Still after being married, no answer yet!”

“The time of the year was chosen because of outside family travelling, kids being back to school, just at the beginning of low wedding season and it’s always sunny for the first two weeks of September.”
Both of their looks were classic and elegant!
Astrid chose a white dress with lace sleeves and a gorgeous long train.
Dougie selected a silk navy blue suit.
They describe their wedding ceremony as beautiful and classic. In particular, they loved the song choices – from Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and many more.
The ceremony was held at the beautiful Killashee Hotel by their officiant, Tommy!
Astrid and Dougie loved their wedding venue! They were looking for a place that could accommodate their guests, without everybody having to do much traveling. They also wanted a venue in a good location and that would fit into their budget.
And that’s what made them choose Killashee Hotel!

To entertain their guests, Astrid and Dougie arranged a band and DJ who entertained everybody with the classic old school songs that everyone loves.
