Meet Laura and Matthew! After meeting on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ our celebrity couple were married at a breath-taking traditional cathedral ceremony and later celebrated their union with a modern, high-energy castle reception. Laura and Matthew’s day blended celebrity appeal with personal storytelling, bringing together TV personalities, performers, and close family. The celebration seamlessly transitioned from a traditional cathedral ceremony to a modern, high-energy castle reception, offering the best of both worlds.
Laura wore two distinct bridal looks, including a dramatic evening dress, adding a sense of occasion and glamour. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful satin pink dresses in different styles while Matthew and his groomsmen wore black suits.
Upon arrival at Kilkea Castle, a drinks reception was held in The Keep Bar with ‘His & Hers’ cocktails, overlooking the rose garden. Matthew’s choice was a Gunner Club cocktail which included Gin, lemon juice, raspberry syrup and egg white, whilst Laura’s choice was a Hugo Spritz which had elderflower liquor, mint, Prosecco, soda water and lime. The pair also had pints of Guinness with their wedding portraits printed on top.
The couple made excellent use of the amazing photography locations around Kilkea Castle. The grounds and gardens were used extensively for their wedding photography, capturing romantic portraits against the backdrop of the historic estate.
Their wedding reception took place within the Baronial Hall, providing an atmospheric and elegant setting for dining and evening celebrations which was followed by a show-stopping first dance, naturally expected from the couple’s dance background. The Event Band performed for guests as they entered the reception space and continued to play the soundtrack of the day throughout the entire night.
