Not all couples will want to give any sort of DIY a go for their Big Day, some will go the whole hog, and some will choose a select few items to try – smart move, especially if you are not a crafty Queen! We do adore weddings with some personal touches added in and the humble seating plan could be just the place for you to add your creative touch to. Today we’ve been having a look at beautiful and creative seating plans that you could totally try yourself – no honours degree in art needed!

Take one ornate mirror and get down to business with a chalk or paint pen and an embossing label maker.

Up-cycle an old floor length mirror by writing your seating plan with chalk or paint pens. For a floral touch ask your florist to create a posy to pretty it up.

Finally a purpose for all those wine bottles you saved! We couldn’t love this idea much more.

You can easily pick up copper clothes display units or you could head to your local builders merchants and get crafty with copper yourself. The modern appeal of this frame makes us very happy!

Again, get that paint pen out and get to work. During your wedding planning it’s a smart idea to keep your eyes peeled at car boot sales and charity shops for gorgeous ornate picture frames and mirrors, they’ll add elegance and class to your day.

Prefer gin over wine (us too!) – Display your favourite brands by simply adding luggage tags with your seating plan written on them – super simple, the hardest part will be the hangovers getting the bottles ready!

We still love a touch of rustic styling and this old door has been cleverly made into a gorgeous seating plan with the addition of greenery.
