It didn’t take me long to fall in love with todays wedding, approximately three seconds to be exact! With a wedding film by Joseph at B&G Productions and photography by the lovely Esther Irvine Photography, Leeanne and Gareth’s stylish vintage wedding day at Orange Tree House is such a stunner!

The couple first met one evening after a church event. Gareth had previously saw Leeanne and done a little research on her!

“Gareth came over to chat for a while just as I was about to leave. I stayed a little longer as he had me laughing from the very beginning. A couple of days later he found me on Facebook, messaged me a little and then asked me out on date. Our first date was in a coffee shop and he arrived with a packet of Percy Pigs and two crème eggs, which sealed the deal for date two…and the rest in history,” explained Leeanne.

After Gareth bought a pair of wellies to impress Leeanne’s dad, she knew it was for life and a year on the proposal came;

“One Saturday last June Gareth said we were heading out for the day, I love traveling by train so we took the North Coast train from Londonderry to Coleraine (which is one of my favourite journeys by the coast). From there we drove out to the Giants Causeway and parked up just past it at Dunseverick, he seemed to be far too calm if he was going to purpose so I just thought we were going on a normal walk like so many before. When we started out it was really muddy and after I grumbled (my shoes were getting ruined) and wanted to go back to the car he insisted that he would give me a piggy back to the top, which he did. The view was beautiful and you could see right along the coast and while I was taking that all in I turned around and he was done on one knee with the most beautiful ring. Of course I said yes!” said Leeanne.

Leeanne and Gareth were keen to make their day personal to them and decided to do many of the task themselves. They chose the stunning setting of Orange Tree House for their reception and used a drawing of it that Leeanne’s very talented Dad drew to make a stamp for their invitations.

“My Dad is a farmer and I have lived on a farm my entire life so we also decided to go for a country theme throughout the day. To me this meant bunting, hay bales and tractors…so that is what we went for and I absolutely loved all the planning and involving my mum and dad as much as possible. My mum organised a country tea party for after the ceremony in the Church hall, which was a nice opportunity for people to mingle and relax after the ceremony. We hung up bunting and put hay bales and rugs around the hall, a catering company served tea, coffee and scones as well as ice cream drinks in jam jars. I loved this part of the day as it was so relaxed and exactly what we had in mind from the very beginning,” explained Leeanne.

“The day went brilliantly, I was quite nervous the day before but by the morning of the wedding I was totally calm. I travelled to church in my Dads tractor which is something I will never forget. I think if we had just went in a car it would have given me time to get nervous, but in the tractor my dad had put on the flashing lights and was beeping and waving at everyone driving down the main street of Newcastle, it made it so funny and I didn’t even get a chance to get nervous and it was such a special journey to share with my Dad,” added Leeanne.
