Well, this proposal is a first for me! Couple Amy and Bernard, Kerry and Dublin fans respectively, went for a low-key meal in their favorite restaurant in Temple Bar one night. Little did Amy know, Bernard had a surprise prepared for her. Presented to her as an early Christmas gift was a GAA football jersey, half Kerry, Half Dublin with “Mrs. Kenealy?” on the back. We love the thought and effort put into the proposal and how unique to their own lives and relationship this truly was. Well done, Bernard! Not only was their engagement inspired by GAA but so was their wedding day. You’ll see below how they took their theme to heart.

Amy’s dress is a gorgeous, almost tea-length dress, altered into her own special creation!
“After a couple dress shops I went to Memories Bridal in Temple Bar and met with Victoria. I bought a dress there and then and on Victoria’s recommendation went to Sew Creative where seamstress Nicole took my dress apart and remade it into the exact dress I was looking for. I cannot recommend this process enough,” explained Amy.
From day to night, ditching the heels is the way to go. These bejeweled converse are practical meets adorable.
We love the colour of Amy’s sisters’ dresses below. They found them in Hobbs in Dundrum Shopping Centre in under an hour. My kind of girls and I’m sure a huge relief to bride Amy! Apparently the blue was a nod towards Bernard’s Dublin roots and Bernard returned the favour with his Kerry tie.
“Being from Kerry and Dublin we wanted our wedding to be on All Ireland weekend. We used small nods to the teams within the day, using the colour for our hand-fasting ceremony, a fun jersey photo for our signing board and crocheted cake toppers by my Aunt Lorraine. We had some fun Kerry, Dublin banter between friends and families which added to the craic of the day,” described Amy.
You can tell this couple are in love and well-suited. Even dressed to the nines amidst beautiful scenery they made sure to be themselves in front of the camera. Circus Photography captured some wonderful moments between Amy and Bernard and the wedding guests throughout the day. We’d take sweet and goofy shots over a stiff portrait any day!
