Lauren & Neil’s Beautiful Lough Rynn Castle Wedding Video by Hitched Films

Real Weddings

Happy Friday, we have just the perfect wedding film to ease you in to the weekend!

Lauren and Neil first met when they were 17 on a Spanish learning course in Salamanca but they didn’t officially get together until they met again in college at 21. This past May after taking wedding plans easily and slowly following their engagement in 2015, the couple tied the knot in St Patrick’s Church, Mohill and held the reception at Lough Rynn Castle.

“Once we got the Wedmin (aka wedding admin!) spreadsheet up and running we just chipped away at the planning over the course of our engagement. Lough Rynn Castle was recommended to us by friends, and when we went to visit, we loved it. It had the perfect mix – beautiful surroundings, exquisite food, ample reasonably priced accommodation between the Hotel and local B&Bs, and a number of quirky add ons, such as the underground Dungeon Bar – we remember thinking we can see ourselves having fun here!” explained Lauren.

“Our highlight of the day was me walking up the aisle believe it or not! It’s a moment neither of us will ever forget and we’ll cherish it forever. Lauren walked up the aisle with both her mum and dad which was really special to her. Aside from that, it had to be the music. We had the Manila Strings, surprise singing waiters, friends of ours, The Coronas to play our first dance, The Trips and Dublin DJ’s with a live saxophone player to finish,” added Neil.

Choosing Our Videographer: Hitched Films

We wanted to have a videographer to capture special moments, in particular ones that we weren’t party to ourselves. For example, we loved watching the footage of each other getting ready in the morning with our bridal parties. We also thought it would be nice to be able to look back on the wedding in years to come. It was definitely one of our better decisions, and well worth the money. We were incredibly lucky to stumble across Hitched Films too. Eoin and Sue are amazing to work with and were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. They were a calming presence on the day, and nothing was too big an ask. We absolutely love what they’ve produced and it has surpassed our wildest expectations. It’s an incredibly special thing to have.
