We’re getting a little dark and bordering on gothic for our colour inspiration palette this week, as we go down the elegant, greenery-lined road to a magical maroon wedding theme. Maroon – or Marsala as Pantone christened a similar shade – was a huge trend in 2015, when it was declared one of the trendiest colours of the year, and it seems we and everybody can’t get enough of the sexy, sophisticated shade.
Maroon or burgundy works particularly well for autumn/winter weddings, for obvious reasons, and we loved it paired with an undertstated navy to set it off. To add some levity to your palette, pop in some gorgeous gold accents throughout and make yours a festive palette. Like what you’re reading? Well check out the gorgeous palette we’ve put together below to get your creative juices flowing for your winter wedding decor!
