“We both agreed we wanted a relaxed and enjoyable day; we also wanted our family and friends to enjoy it as much as we did too,” said Regina.

The couple were married in St Peter & Paul’s Cathedral, Ennis and held their reception at the Inn at Dromoland.

“As our wedding was in Winter I really wanted to incorporate winter décor in our day – soft candle lighting in both the church and reception, lots of gold detail and foliage. I love the rustic look of winter so in my bouquet I preferred the look as if I had gathered the flowers that morning. Anne from the Flower Den was so helpful with achieving this,” explained Regina.

“The bridesmaids wore two-pieces that we got separately. Originally I saw the skirts in a boutique called Willow in Ennis and fell in love with them. Afterwards we found the tops in the County Boutique in Ennis. As our Irish weather can be so unpredictable at the beginning of December I needed something to keep me warm. My mam had a vintage fur cape which worked perfectly with the dress and theme of the day…so that was my something borrowed,” she said.

No detail was too tiny for Regina and along with her great suppliers she brought a fantastic cake idea to life!

“For the cake I once saw a cake that was elevated and instead of leaving the bouquets on their side at the table which is often done, the bouquets were put into jars/vases. It ended up creating the illusion of a flower base for the cake. I tried to achieve the same idea. Louise from Grace Events and Deborah from Cakes by Deborah were both so helpful with this. They then added the idea of the arch which was nice and framed the cake for pictures,” added Regina.

Regina’s Advice

Relax, don’t stress the little things. Ensure to take time on the day to stand back and take it all in and enjoy it with your other half.
