Stately elegant castle weddings don't come much better than ones with a backdrop like this, as Waterford Castle was the venue for Lisa and Roman's timeless wedding in September this year. Situated on a private 310 acre island, Waterford Castle really is a dream location in our eyes. What's more, to make this 16th Century castle even more enchanting, it's only accessible by ferry - talk about posh!
In keeping with the tone of the day, Lisa's Jenny Packham dress was elegant and graceful, especially when teamed with her dark raven locks, understated pearls and chic red lip. She chose the V neck gown from Annabel Rose in Dublin with the help of her mum and youngest sister, Lynn.
Lisa and Roman's ceremony was held in the impressive grand entrance hall of the castle, in front of the stunning opening fire and majestic high ceilings, elaborate stone walls and rich wooden panelling. The flowers were charming with rich red roses set amidst ivory blooms and lush greenery.
"The day really was perfect for both Roman and myself. We chose the location because it's beautiful and the staff and service are truly excellent," explained Lisa.
"The best part of the day was having all our close family and friends sharing the day with us and seeing them all have a really good time."

The main dining room, The Munster Room, created a unique ambience for the formal meal with its oak panelled walls and ornate 16th century ceiling.
