No matter the level of planning you put into your day, the hours and hours of making sure everything is completely perfect, guess what; we’re in Ireland and one thing you cannot depend on ever in our great little island is of course the weather! Todays quirky couple, Claire and Richard were faced with Fermanagh’s gale force winds on their June wedding, but they smiled through it, held on tightly to Claire’s veil and had the best family day full of fun! We’re delighted to share their wild flower themed day by Sharon Kee Photography. The couple were married in Magheracross Parish Church, Ballinamallard. Claire arrived in a vintage Porsche and wore a fabulous tea length bridal dress that she picked up by chance in Dublin whilst shopping with her sister! Knowing it had the potential to be her ideal dress she worked with dressmaker, Monika in Belfast and added lace detailing to make it perfect. With a blue colour scheme throughout the day, Claire teamed her gown with pretty blue lace pumps which featured a blue satin bow, and carried a gorgeous wildflower bouquet. Her maids wore short blue dresses in the same shade, whilst Richard and his groomsmen wore relaxed fit two piece french navy suits with delicate buttonholes and pocket squares handmade by Richards Mother. With vintage tin cans announcing their day, Claire and Richard headed off as husband and wife to their reception at Rossahilly House at Trory Bay, but not before stopping off a local airstrip for their unique bridal portraits. The venue had been dressed with the same relaxed wildflower theme that ran throughout the day in all elements including the beautiful watercolour stationery. A huge injection of fun was added with the bouncy castle, which went down well with all guests, young and old!
