We love winter weddings, there’s just something so warming about faux fur stoles, mulled wine receptions and dancing the night away beside the twinkling fairy lights of a Christmas tree… The only thing we have to admit we’re not mad about is the rain, and if you’re tying the knot from December to February, there’s a huge chance that you’ll experience it in some way.
But fret not fellow lovers of the festive season! There are plenty of ways to make the weather work for you. With photos from the wonderful Paul Kelly of Studio 3, we’ve illustrated tips on dealing with the weather on your winter wedding.
If it does Rain, don’t let it Dampen your Excitement
Grab a Pretty Umbrella and take a Stroll!
Keep the Cold at Bay with a Faux Fur Stole
Or Wrap yourself up in your ‘Something Blue’
Windy? Make it your Marilyn Moment!
And….don’t forget to take a moment for yourselves
Get lost in the grandeur of a beautiful castle…
Where they’ve truly embraced the festive season
Who needs wedding decor when you’ve got Christmas Trees?
We love how they twinkle in the background
Remember you can’t control the weather, no matter what the time of year
So smile and remember, come rain or shine, that there’s nowhere else you’d rather be but here
