Q & A With Mullingar Park Hotel

We sat down and had a chat with the wedding coordinator at Mullingar Park Hotel.

  1. You are working with brides and grooms every day. What are your favourite wedding trends of the year so far?

The return to quality not price as a priority for brides and grooms viewing hotels.

  1. What do couples love the most about your hotel? What makes them go “Wow”?

Stunning lobby entrance with fresh flowers, chandelier and cosy fireplaces. Private drinks/bar area for the wedding party. Large function room high ceilings large bay window overlooking a private garden area. Personal attention from wedding co-ordinator from booking right up to the day of the wedding.

  1. We love how you host intimate ceremonies but can also cater for larger wedding receptions. Tell us the options for brides and grooms!

We can host Civil Ceremonies from 20people to 450pax on a civil ceremony. Offering flowers, red carpet/candles & our stunning new wedding chairs are a must see…. We can seat up to 600 people on a banquet setting. The average wedding here is about 260 guests. This works really well in the Lir Ballroom and we can add divisions of ballroom space as the numbers grow. The bride & groom provide a seating plan for their day and we can use whatever size tables works for their intimate or large gathering to suit their numbers. We reserve the Courtyard Bar for residents after the event.

  1. The day of a wedding must be busy and exciting in Mullingar Park Hotel after months of planning with couples?

Each couple is different and adds their own personal touches to their day. The management team prepare the venue, drinks reception area, function area, fresh flowers etc. The wedding Co-Ordinator will check the couple’s own personal touches. We make sure that we lay out the favours, sweet cart, etc as requested. When guests arrive it is all go. Canapés being served, punch/sparkling wine reception. Then we call for dinner with bell, dinner is served, speeches are managed, changing room offered, music starts evening supper is served, dancing till late then the residents bar is open. No day is seen as routine as each couple has their very high expectations. We strive to achieve these, offering exceptional quality to each bride and groom. Proof of this is evident from the lovely thank you cards and emails we receive.
