I am a sucker for romantic wedding photos. Perhaps that’s why I love writing for weddingsonline so much? I swoon over any pretty photo which features a loved-up couple and a stunning backdrop. My all-time favourite photos to stare at are outdoor wedding photos. Beaches, lakes, mountains, forests, deserts, islands. They each have something unique which makes wedding photos incredibly beautiful. In fact, this is one of the reasons I love Ireland so much.

When it comes to taking jaw-dropping wedding photos, here are a few expert tips:
Get comfortable in front of the camera
This doesn’t come naturally for everyone, but if you feel comfortable you will look comfortable. Nothing is more difficult to see than an awkward bride. The best way to get around this is to arrange an engagement shoot with your wedding photographer. I highly recommend this, because it’ll give you a chance to warm up to being in front of the camera (because how many of us are accustomed to this?). It’ll also allow you to get to know your photographer a little bit. The end result: stunning wedding photos, where you are comfortable, relaxed and beaming.

Choose an experienced wedding photographer
Another piece of advice I always give to brides: don’t skimp on your wedding photographer. If you really want gorgeous wedding photos (and who doesn’t?) you should invest in a high-quality wedding photographer who knows what they are doing. Select someone who just gets you, as a couple. Somebody who is seriously talented and knows how to make you look your best!

Select a location that makes you smile
I’m all for the outdoors! Sunsets, waves lapping in the background, and dauntingly big trees. Location is everything. You will always be the subject of the photos, obviously, but an incredibly beautiful background will enhance the beauty.
