So if you’re a curvy bride-to-be we definitely recommend including them on your list to visit when searching for your dream dress. Do you want to know what’s the latest trends for curvy brides? Let’s go!

1 Halter Neck Plus Size Dresses

Ever since Meghan Markle came out in her gorgeous halter neck reception dress we have been swooning over halter neck gowns. Both her dresses have influenced bridal trends since her wedding day and along with some gorgeous more simple wedding dresses emerging, we are also seeing lots of gorgeous halter necks. Particularly if you are a curvier bride with a bigger bust, this is a really flattering and comfortable neckline.

Here’s one of our favourites- Alana. With its on-trend high neckline, this gown is the perfect mix of classic lace and modern silhouette. Featuring sheer, lace detailing at the front,  it also has a gorgeous completely-lace high back. We love the figure-flattering, fit-and-flare silhouette.

2 Plus Size Dresses with Sleeves

Many brides begin their wedding dress search thinking they would like a sleeve, but for brides getting married summer, a full length sleeve isn’t always a practical option. Cap sleeves have become more popular and we are going to see a lot more brides who love the extra bit of coverage at the top of the arm without the restriction of a full sleeve. The True Curves collection which Pearls and Lace stock feature some gorgeous dresses with cap sleeves. These dresses all feature beaded, vintage-inspired designs together with an ultra supportive construction which makes a fabulous combination for plus size wedding dress.

This Gorgeous Dress-Della, is a gorgeous fit and flare bridal gown adorned with pretty lace appliqués, a plunge v-neckline and eye catching beaded Deco inspired tulle cap sleeves. It’s available in lace up back option or buttons.

3 Plus Size Dresses with Pockets

Brides are absolutely loving the trend of pockets in their wedding dress. It’s ultra cool and makes for some gorgeous laid back, relaxed photos. Lots of all plus size ball gowns feature pockets- here is one of our absolute favourites from their collection- Lara.

Simply beautiful, this wedding dress is timeless yet modern. Made of a gorgeous matte Mikado fabric, the ballgown silhouette features a modern empire waist which is so flattering, particularly on a fuller figure. We adore the square back and it combines two of our favourite details- yes pockets and gorgeous buttons running the length of the train.

4 Off the Shoulder Plus Size Dresses!

Off the shoulder is so on trend for 2020 and 2021 and plus size brides are absolutely loving this look. It’s romantic and sultry and on the practical side, adds a little coverage to arms without brides feeling too covered up. This trend is going nowhere and we expect to see lots more of it in 2020 & 2021.

This plus-size vintage wedding gown from Essense of Australia features a gorgeous curve-hugging, fit-and-flare silhouette. It’s a mixed V-neckline and sweetheart neckline with beautiful scalloped-lace, off-the-shoulder sleeves that add the perfect modern touch to this vintage-inspired dress. The bodice is lace layered over intricate latticework and beads. It’s one of the favourite fit and flare styles for plus size brides at the minute and utterly fabulous in real life!

5 Simple Plus Size Wedding Dresses

Both the recent royal weddings featured simple, chic wedding dresses so it’s no surprise this is one of the biggest trends for brides at the minute. Sometimes less is more and we’ve felt there was a need for more simple, modern options for plus size brides who don’t want a traditional lace gown. The Pearls and Lace plus size collection features beautiful simple plus size wedding gowns in every silhouette and in a range of different fabrics so plus size brides have more choice than ever before!

Sleek and chic, this matte gown from Stella York echoes pure luxury. The dipped sweetheart neckline of the strapless bodice is classic and versatile, allowing you the freedom to pair with virtually any accessory. We love that you can customise this gown with a beaded cap sleeves or a full lace sleeve depending on your look. The curved seaming is super flattering for curvier figures and creates a stunning hourglass shape.
