You can’t beat a pretty floral print come spring or summer – teamed with pastels, they make for some seriously gorgeous and romantic wedding inspiration. Your wedding stationery is the perfect place to kick-start your theme and set a feminine and romantic tone for your celebrations. Stationery designers such as Appleberry Press, Rosy Days, The Parlour Press and Steph’s Personalised Cards all have some beautiful floral inspired stationery suites whether you’re after painterly watercolours, quirky graphic prints or a simple floral illustration.
If you’re afraid of taking the floral theme too far, mix it with a pretty blush or pastel shade and just introduce flowers through your wedding décor. We love the idea of dressing maids in mix and match prints but if it feels a little too boho or bold for your taste, opt for romantic blush gowns for the ladies and deck the lads out with some matching floral print bow ties or pocket squares – if the guys want to go all out, a full-on floral shirt is another option. Of course matching floral robes or PJs for the maids is a gorgeous way to keep the theme alive on the wedding morning and will make for some fun pre-wedding snaps.
In terms of décor, there are lots of ways to introduce flowers in to your palette from fresh flower pew ends (check out more gorgeous options for your pew ends here) to your drinks reception – opt for kitsch ditsy print straws to go with pink lemonade or signature tipples (The Favour Shop stock the ones below) or kitsch cocktail signage emblazoned with whimsical flowers. For dessert, think a flower topped wedding cake or if you want to go all out, you can opt for floral table cloths or take it down a notch with some floral napkins as a fun alternative to white linens.
