We met… through mutual friends. His sister was my neighbour. We clicked instantly.
Our proposal… He proposed on 17th November 2010 because he was too excited to wait for Christmas.
His suit… was from Eddie Murphy Menswear, Ballyhaunis, Mayo.
My look… My dress was from Enchanted Bridal (a boutique in Sligo that has since closed). My hair was done by a close friend. My makeup was done by Susan Gaynor Makeup Artist from Castlerea. Her work was flawless.
Our ceremony… was in Frenchpark Church, Roscommon.
We chose our photographer because… I found Alex Zarodov Photohraphy‘s website and viewed his work which was all flawless. Alex is a very easy man to deal with and makes you feel completely at ease throughout the whole wedding process. He is very quick to respond to any questions and to top it all off, he is an amazing guy.
We chose our venue because… The Landmark Hotel is in an ideal location, the staff were second to none, the price was very fair and the hotel itself is amazing.
What our bridal party wore… The groomsmen had suits from Eddie Murphy Menswear. The bridesmaids wore dresses from Chi Chi London.
Our wedding theme/colours… Cadbury purple (because I love all things chocolate).
We chose our wedding coordinator because… She made us feel like our wedding was the most important thing in the world. She was always there to answer questions, arrange viewings, suggest ideas. She is simply amazing.
Our menu… We had a 4 course meal with soup, two dinner options (beef or chicken), medley of desserts and tea, coffee and chocolate strawberries.
My favourite part of the wedding day… when we first saw each other in the church.
My piece of advice for other couples… Enjoy your day as much as possible. Don’t fret about the little things.
