1. Jennie and Ronan at Kippure Estate, Blessington, Co. Wicklow
“We chose our venue because we wanted something a little bit different. The venue was ours for the weekend so we could put our own stamp on it. The views are beautiful. We just fell in love with it. We did go visit other venues but once I’d seen Kippure I knew that’s where I wanted my wedding to be and I’m glad we picked it, the staff were brilliant and couldn’t have done enough for us. Jenny was in charge of our wedding weekend and she made sure everything ran smoothly and helped decorate the room. Celine was in charge of food and it was fab, it went down a treat with our guests. There was one thing we were worried about and that was the size of the bar but Chris the bar man made sure nobody was thirsty and had a bit of craic at the same time. All the staff were really friendly.”

“Luttrellstown Castle is such a beautiful venue! We thought that you can’t go wrong with this kind of venue as it is so majestic and classical.”

“We had been to a few venues but as soon as we were greeted by the owner at the door of Ballymagarvey Village we smiled at each other and knew this was it. It was so homely and having the entire place to ourselves was so important to us as we had family and friends come from Dublin, the North, America and Thailand so having everyone together meant everyone could catch up. The people were outstanding and couldn’t have done more for us.”

“We had stayed in Kinnitty Castle Hotel before. It was the only venue we went to see. We loved the feel of the place and were particularly impressed by the banqueting hall. It was about a 50 minute drive from Stradbally which meant it was close enough for me to be able to get ready at home!”

6. Kathleen & Gary at The Millhouse, Slane, Co. Meath
“As we drove up to The Millhouse my heart was pounding, and as I walked in, the first thought that came into my head was why would you not get married here?! We had looked at other venues before but this just felt amazing, my mind was made up… was just a good thing that Gary felt the same!”

“It was important to the both of us that we had a private wedding venue. Boyne Hill House Estate became our own little hideaway for the day. It is such a unique venue with so much character and a lovely atmosphere. They also have a beautiful secret garden which was perfect for all the photos. All the staff at Boyne Hill House were so helpful and friendly and made our families and friends feel so welcome. The food and hospitality was something myself and Ian will never forget.”

“We chose Clonabreany House because of the great food, personal service and the fact that the whole venue was dedicated to our wedding.”
