Romantic Wedding Lighting Ideas

Décor & Flowers, Inspiration

Sometimes couples look at wedding lighting as unnecessary. And if we’re honest, many couples don’t even think about it! If that’s you, don’t stress, because we’ve got you covered. If you scroll through the photos below you’ll see how much of a role wedding light plays in your Big Day. Not only will lighting provide gorgeous decor but it will help set the tone and the mood for the day.

Types of wedding lighting

Fairy lights: These are a staple! Fairy lights create a romantic and cosy atmosphere and add a touch of magic. If you’re planning a rustic wedding or you’re tying the knot in winter, fairy lights are for you.

Festoon lights and Edison bulbs: These naked bulbs create a magical setting and provide low light in an outdoor wedding setting or an industrial venue.

Candles: We love candles lining the aisle and on the tables! Big or small, few or plentiful, wedding candles are the epitome of romantic wedding lighting.

Neon lighting: Fun and quirky couples will love this one! Neon lights will add a pop of colour to your wedding and can easily be a focal point above your main table, as a photobooth backdrop or statement piece.

Chandeliers: These can be big, magnificent chandeliers upon entrance, or smaller pieces hanging above the tables. Chandeliers are the perfect addition to a sophisticated and elegant wedding.

Light up letters: Picture your initials or the word ‘love’ lit up next to the dance floor. Light up letters are a fabulous decor piece to jazz up a marquee or large wedding venue.
