If you’re anything like us, your wedding is going to involve wrangling family and friends from the four corners of the earth to make up your guest list, and awarding them no less than 12 months notice will probably be considered bad form (isn’t everyone just ‘busier’ these days?!) Now we’re all about making things as simple and budget-friendly as possible so our first piece of advice is; when you know your date, and are sure of your guests, get the word out to those who have to travel furthest ASAP so they can plan their plan of attack. The easiest way to go about this? Send them an informal text, a group Whatsapp, a quick Facebook message… Give them a call on the old school telephone… Whatever it takes to get people locked down soon is the best way to go about everything to do with your wedding plans. Of course you also have the option to make a big impact with your announcement, and this is where the fun comes in. If you are very well organised and have your theme set in stone, you could also get your Save the Date cards as part of a suite of wedding stationery, including invites, RSVPS, maps, table name cards and more and really tie the day together – now that would be an impressive start to planning!
