A bit about the bride… Sharon O’Connor is the Wedding Sales Manager at The Brehon, Killarney. She has worked with The Gleneagle Group since May 2011. Having already booked her own wedding in The Brehon Sharon joined the hotel’s Wedding Team in January 2018.A bit about the groom… John Devine, from Cobh, and works locally in Killorglin. We met… Teenage sweethearts – we first met at a youth club disco in Ballybunion over 16 years ago.Our proposal… Ringing in the New Year on New Year’s Eve of 2016 into 2017 in The Mermaids Bar in Listowel surrounded by our friends and family. We will cherish this memory forever. Our wedding theme/colours… Simple and Romantic, seaside theme and colours. My dress… Finesse in ListowelMy hair and makeup… Pat O’Neill from the Style Suite in The Brehon. His suit… Suits Select Tralee. What our bridal party wore… Suits Select Tralee, and Dresses from Chantilly lace LimerickOur ceremony… was emotional and Fr.Sean Hannafin did a great job.We chose our photographer because… Nerijus is so friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with and of course, his images are absolutely stunning! Our menu… was amazing! Our guests couldn’t believe the quality and that they could order their steaks cooked to order to their cooking preference. Warm Black Pudding & Streaky Bacon Salad with a redcurrant dressing Warm Goats Cheese and Red Onion Tartlet with Eve’s leaves dressing Mango & Passion Fruit Sorbet Prime Irish Fillet Steak with colcannon potato and an Irish whiskey & wild mushroom sauce(cooked to order for each guest)  Roast Fillet of Monkfish with spinach and basil sautéed in truffle oil, broad bean and tomato butter sauce  Pan Seared Supreme of Chicken with colcannon potato and an Irish whiskey and wild mushroom sauce Brehon Trio Desserts:Classic Lemon Tart, buttermilk sorbet & fruit coulisClassic Crème Brûlée served with homemade biscuits Vanilla Ice Cream Freshly Brewed Tea & Coffee. Our honeymoon… Miami, Caribbean cruise and Disney in Orlando going in October. My favourite part of the wedding day… It was a magical, emotional and heartfelt day from beginning to end. The sun shone brightly on the beaches of Ballybunion and on St John’s Church where family and friends gathered to celebrate the wedding ceremony of Sharon and John. The celebrations continued at The Brehon in Killarney, where guests enjoyed an idyllic arrival reception on the hotel’s lawn overlooking Killarney National Park. They then moved to the banqueting suite where the festivities continued with a delicious five-course meal followed by dancing late into the night. My piece of advice for other couples… Relax, rejoice and embrace every single moment. Trust in your wedding suppliers to guide you on the day, your preparations are complete so its time to let the professionals take over ?Are there any vendors you used that were particularly amazing? All of the suppliers on the day were outstanding! In particular Sharon’s place of work, The Brehon, where her colleagues lined the red carpet to welcome the newly married couple to the hotel. Were there any special moments or personal touches you remember from the day?The many close family members who helped and supported them in the preparations for the big day and John’s late mother Madeleine who was remembered throughout the day.
