The Venue
Our unique offering combines high-end event management with beautiful natural scenery on the Slane Castle Estate. You can have your wedding reception in our beautifully renovated rustic haybarn. We can accommodate small groups up to large scale 200+ guests on the day with full crisp linens and stocked bar to keep your guests fed and happy throughout the day.
The Ceremony
You may choose to have your wedding ceremony in one of the local Churches in nearby Slane Village or perhaps you are looking to host a humanist or shamanic celebration in the beautiful Glamping grove under the bows of giant sycamore and large stretch tent (included in the venue hire).
Either way we can provide you with an experienced venue-based coordinator to guide you through the process, celebrants and other specialist services such as wedding coordinator, catering, flowers, hair and beauty.

Ballyvolane House is a magical setting for your wedding. Tucked away in the beautiful Cork countryside, Ballyvolane has been in the Green family for generations, so you and your wedding guests can enjoy a slice of home-from-home ancestral chic. Ballyvolane House sits on magnificent gardens and parkland where you can have ceremonies and blessings in the woods, in the rustic hay barn and the gardens. Afterwards invite your guests for a beautiful 4 course meal in the dining terrace of our converted barn alongside the gardens and after, celebrate in style with dancing and more. Weddings often take place on Saturday, and the couple have exclusivity of the house and grounds from Friday (check-in) at 3pm until Sunday (check out) at 12 noon.
Ballyvolane has over 80-acres of manicured gardens, mature woodland, lakes and parkland to get lost in. With our abundance of enchanting places there are lots of options inside and out. Have your ceremony inside the house, in our rustic hay barn or in the great outdoors where it can take place in the woods, gardens or beside the lakes. We can ensure you there will be a stunning backdrop to your wedding wherever you decide to have it!
We have created the perfect party venue! Guests can hit the dance floor or cosy up in the bar which are all connected to the dining terrace so that the party stays together and you can all dance the night away. Bare-foot or ball gowns, we are happy to accommodate all kinds of weddings.
