Meet Teilo and Geraldine. Today's couple held an early summer wedding at The Heritage Killenard with neutral shades, stunning dried floral arrangements and pretty sage green bridesmaids.

Teilo and Geraldine first met by chance when Teilo was renting a pub in Geraldine's hometown.
"We got engaged at the top of weisshorn in Arosa, Switzerland during a half marathon in the mountains surrounded by loads of friends on a Good Glow trip."
"From start to finish our day was beautiful. We chose neutral colours for our flowers with peach, yellow and white roses as my grandmother had rose bushes all over her garden.
The church was beautifully decorated and it was packed with all our friends and family, as was the village where we took the photographs. My dress was perfectly me, major princess vibes!!
The hotel was perfectly stylish and classy with candelabras on the tables, traditional white tableware, beautiful grounds and so well put together."
Geraldine's stunning dress was a semi-sheer strapless gown with floral appliqués over the bodice and a tulle tiered volume skirt under the mesh gown, with detachable gloves. Her maids wore deep sage green dresses in different styles to reflect their personalities.
Teilo wore a beige suit jacket with navy trousers, tan shoes, gold cuff links and tie clip, his new Tissot watch (a nod to Switzerland for the engagement) and one Laois sock and one kilkenny sock, gifted from Geraldine.
The stylish bridal party made their way to the ceremony at St. Edmond’s church Castletown carrying unusual floral arrangements with dried flowers.
"We had two friends, Grainne and Brendan Gavigan, sister and brother sing for us in the church and chose very modern songs with an Irish theme at the forefront, they were fantastic.
Fr. Eamonn O’Gorman from Kilkenny is a family friend and it was lovely to have him perform the ceremony! We included family in all the readings and a last minute Eucharistic minister called in. We had four flower girls and a page boy that stole the show with his suit!"
Following their beautiful ceremony Geraldine and Teilo travelled to The Heritage Kilenard for their reception.
Feedback on the venue:
From the first day we went to meet Joanna in The Heritage we knew that it was the hotel for us. It’s so elegant and stylish and when you meet Joanna or her colleague Kasia you are immediately reassured knowing that you are in good hands and that every detail will be perfect. We went to other venues to tick the box but it was always The Heritage for us! On the day Joanna, Damu and Rashidat made sure everything ran perfectly smoothly and all the staff were top notch. We have been back to the hotel and have been treated like royalty every time we go. They had a cinema to entertain the children and it worked a treat.
"We had Danny Burke from Kilkenny welcome our guests to the venue and even though we didn’t get much time to hear him what we heard was fantastic and what we expected as we have heard Danny before!
For the evening, The Pearly Whites brought the house down with fantastic music and party antics from dancing around the dance floor to squirting water guns and messing with each other! They brought the DJ and he kept the night flowing perfectly with a seamless transition, we played background music for dinner and the band were able to set up without disturbing any guests as the venue had a stage."
Favourite memory:
The photographs after the meal on the golf course. We had a private time together doing these photos, seeing all the children raiding the sweet cart and loving the cinema, dancing the night away and being entertained no end by The Pearly Whites and the fantastic food and wine!
Advice for other couples:
Make the process of planning the wedding as enjoyable as possible, we really enjoyed the whole process. If you can afford to, don’t compromise on any details, that might seem hard but if you can pick out the things that really matter to you and don’t worry what everyone else is thinking then you won’t have compromised. We didn’t and are so delighted with everything. Find out the details that matter to you and prioritise them.
