Steal their Wedding Style: Sarah & John-Paul’s Parisian Art Deco Day

Real Weddings

We’ve been so lucky to feature some of the most beautiful Irish real weddings in our real wedding section over the last few weeks, and by the looks of the WOL submissions box, we have many many more stylish weddings to come! So, with this in mind, we’ve decided to make a permanent feature of our somewhat staccatoed ‘Steal her Style’ posts, starting today!

First up we are stealing Sarah and John-Paul’s stunning Parisian, 1930’s art deco look that featured in yesterday’s beautiful real wedding by Clique Photographic (thanks again to Gina from Clique for letting us feature her photos by the way!) Of course we fell in love with Sarah’s rose-embellished silk satin a-line Belle & Bunty ‘Belle’ gown (worn by the designer Belle on her own wedding day, none-the-less!), her Charleston style t-bar ‘Carmen’ heels by designer Rachel Simpson (stocked in Ireland by vintage bridal and accessories store Bella Blue in Cork and Frilly Frocks in Drogheda) and to finish her look off, her sparkling brooch bouquet, but we were also enticed by the couple’s personalised decor, which they obviously put time and thought into.

Baby’s breath is a wonderful choice for floral decor as it is both economical and can be easily worked into centrepieces and pew ends, as well as any other floral arrangements you may want to fill out the room, by a good wedding florist. Sarah and John-Paul created a gorgeous guest book table complete with baby’s breath in clear jars and finished with powder pink ribbons and a ‘Wedding Day’ Yankee candle.

Another stand-out decor accessory was the wonderfully rustic birdcage table plan, which established the style of the wedding even before guests sat down! Birdcage table plans are available for hire from The Parlour Press (who also designed the very cute birdcage invite in today’s board), while full birdcages for centrepieces or as alternatives to guest books are available to buy from the Shop at WeddingsOnline.ie.

Lastly, the couple’s rustic ‘Bride’ and ‘Groom’ chair signs, their adorable ‘Here comes the Bride’ banner and their sweet personalised ‘Welcome’ sign at their guest book table really added some personality and charm to the whole day. Banners and signs such as these are available to hire from good wedding planners and event stylists (such as those featured on our wedding directory!), alternatively you will find many for purchase, such as the ones we have features, on Etsy.com.
