Meet Lisa and Alan! This beautiful couple tied the knot outside on a stunning May Day surrounded by their friends and family and dog, Jasper. The relaxed day was captured by Ros from Couple Photography.

Lisa and Alan originally met through mutual friends. Alan proposed on her birthday with a romantic gesture as Lisa explains:
“We went to Cork as part of my birthday present. It was the first hotel we stayed at when we first started dating. I waited in the car, as requested by Alan. He called me to come up to the room and when I open the doors I saw him on one knee and rose petals around the room. It was magical.”
The couple were married at an outdoor ceremony in Druid’s Glen on a sunny May afternoon with the sun splitting the trees. Their dog Jasper was given the special job of ring bearer and he stole the show!
“We wanted a simple ceremony but we had to have our dog Jasper as our ring barer. He stole the show for the rest of the day. My uncle custom made a song for me to walk down the aisle and I had Eta James ‘At Last’ playing for when we were signing the registry, we are together a long time so it was a bit of a laugh!”
Lisa chose a pretty pink colour scheme with her maids wearing dusky pink dresses. Her show-stopping bridal gown featured a dramatic flowing overlay and embroidered train.
Alan and his grooms party were smartly suited in navy suits from Louis Copeland.
“I can’t say anything about Druid Glen Hotel other than WOW. We felt like royalty as soon as arrived. We had met with Nessa a few times (Nessa: the most amazing wedding co-ordinator) and each time we met I felt like everything was in control. She had the timings down to the microsecond and if there was any delay there was no issue, she had it all in hand and I didnt have to worry about anything. Throughout the whole day we felt so special and the food was just exquisite! The staff were amazing and unbelievably friendly. We cannot wait to go back.”

“We went with Couple Photography and I just loved their energy. Ros made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera and she took on so many of my ideas. There were so many beautiful shots they got that we cant pick just one favourite. Also there are some stunning shots of myself and Alan that look like they are from a magazine cover, they are just unbelievably gorgeous. Also there are some funny candid one that we love and the ones of Jasper we especially love. I cant recommend them enough for their professionalism and their energy and fun.”
The Bentley Boys were on hand for the evening entertainment which resulted in a packed dance floor all evening!
Favourite memory:
“There really is so many, but one that sticked out to me was when our guest were going into the room for dinner and we had 10minutes to ourselves. We had our drinks and just chatted and laughed the whole time and having that time with my husband was just so special. The day goes by so quickly so having that time together was lovely.”
Advice for other couples:
“Try not to stress about the small things (no one ever notices them anyway). Talk to each other and just remember that the day is all about you both, so be the guests of honour and have the most amazing party celebrating your love for each other.”
