Today we’re sharing some of our favourites and a few tips on how to choose your perfect scent…
How to choose your wedding perfume
There are lots of things to consider when choosing the scent you’ll wear on your wedding day. Three main points are your day, your scent preferences (such as floral, fruity etc) and how you want to feel on the day. The setting, your floral and colour choices will all play a part and there may be scents you want to draw out from these elements.
The season you are getting married in will play a part in your final choice. Winter weddings will encourage you to choose deeper scents with spicy or woody notes, which is why Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir is such a popular choice for winter brides. Summer brides will no doubt choose a lighter fragrance with fresher notes such as citrus or floral. If you love the scent of roses and peonies, Dior Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet might just be the perfume for you.
You should always follow your nose and choose a scent that you love and you are personally drawn to, if floral isn’t your vibe, don’t go down that road. Always go for personal preference over what is popular at the time.
To ensure your fragrance lasts all day consider layering the cologne with its matching body moisturiser, this will not necessarily bring an intense scent but a long lingering scent that lasts all day.
