We’re delighted to kick off the week with a a beautiful real wedding by Emma Russell Photography. Alan and Nicola tied the knot in an intimate church ceremony in Lucan, Dublin, before heading off to be wined and dined in the stunning surroundings of Leixlip Manor and Gardens. Alan made sure he brought the romance on the day, with a surprise serenade by a special guest that got everybody teary eyed – guys take note!
Dingle is a dream wedding destination in Ireland, and today’s couple were lucky enough to have the breathtaking landscape of the Kerry coastline to act as the backdrop to their celebrations. Bride Lean looked incredible in a classic lace Lyn Ashworth gown, while her maids set a stylish tone in full length navy Topshop dresses. The wonderful Andrew O’Dwyer was on hand to photograph the most special aspects of the day…
Anna and David were married in the luxurious Castle Leslie Estate, Monaghan in July this year. The bride wowed in the most elegant, sheer-back David Fielden full length gown, complemented perfectly by her two gorgeous sisters in knee-length cream lace handmade bridesmaids’ dresses. The intimate ceremony was followed by a celebration in the enchantingly decorated marquee on the grounds of Castle Leslie Estate, and all the details were captured beautifully by Shane O’Neill of Aspect Photography.
We are so excited to be opening this week with an INCREDIBLE real wedding, shot by the insanely talented DKPHOTO. Isobelle and Edward were married in the most beautifully executed Gatsby style garden party humanist ceremony on the grounds of Liss Ard Estate on the first day of June this year. A life-altering romance blossomed when Australian lass Lisa met Irish-born Derek on a 2008 trip to the US, but as with the most famous of love stories, the course of true love was not to run smoothly… A holiday ‘fling’ (her words!) turned to several extended stays half way around the world when bureaucracy got the better of the two and they had to say a heart-wrenching ‘goodbye’ to each other. Luckily love was a force that could snap even the thickest of red tapes, and the couple found a way to remain together forever, and gave us a gorgeous real wedding to share with you all!
Today we’re taking a trip to the stunning setting of San Miniato in Tuscany for Roger and Lucy’s laid back, retro classic real wedding. The couple enlisted the help of Infinity Weddings & Events wedding planner Barbara Caló, who brought all their ideas together and helped them to realise their dream wedding day. “The scenery was beautiful, the accommodation was perfect, and our wedding planner Barbara filled us with such confidence that we simply had to let her plan our big day!”
Annemarie and Seamus wanted a simple, elegant wedding day to celebrate their family tying the knot. They wanted their little boy Cillian involved as much as possible with the day, and true to form the little man even started the ceremony for them carrying the sweetest ‘here comes the bride’ sign! Annemarie looked true stunning, her long red hair a striking contrast to her white, pearl detailed strapless ballgown. Sarah and Gerry tied the knot in laid back luxury at the stunning Lough Rynn Castle this summer, with bride wowing in a fabulous fitted lace Maggie Sottero gown. Photographer Peter Rowen was on hand throughout the entire day to capture how the magic unfolded.
The forecast might not have looked favourable for Emma and Michael’s big day in April this year, but in true Irish style the couple braved the cold with a little help from a teacupful of whiskey before the sun came out for the evening! Real Wedding – Today’s very crafty couple are a true testament to what can be done with time, patience, talent, and a little help from good friends. Claire and Neil created a beautiful, warm wedding which took on a vintage-meets-rustic theme. The bride went high street, as did her maids, and with handmade decor, favours and stationery, she managed to keep within her €12,000 budget. Claire and Neil we applaud you!
What better way to celebrate the New Year than surrounded by your friends and family as you declare the first day of the rest of your lives together? That’s what Trevor and Aoife did when they tied the knot on the 31st of December last year. Their day was one giant celebration – full of beautiful little details like fairy lights, very cute signage and a wedding wish tree all tied together in the most perfect plum purple. Now, if only the boys could figure out how to tie their ties…
