We met… over 11 years ago. We have known each other since we were about 15 years of age and with lots of growing up to do! It was just perfect timing when we finally realised we were meant to be together at the age of 22. I 100% believe in soulmates and that we are, as cheesy as it sounds. I feel very blessed to be married to my best friend and amazing father to our children.

Our proposal… came after a long long long time. Eoin proposed in 2012 while on our holiday in Portugal. I was totally totally shocked. I always knew we would get married, it was just a matter of timing and having the money for the venue we/I have always wanted! We stay in Powerscourt Hotel every year for Christmas and about 9 years ago I said “this is our wedding venue”. I love everything about the hotel from the interior and the staff to the spa and the food. It has always been my favourite place to stay.

My look on the day…  I wore a dress by Kathy de Stafford, my shoes were by Steve Madden and my jewellery was my something borrowed from my best friend Helen. My hair was by another best friend, hairdresser Amy Campbell and my make-up was by Makeup by Gill.

My favourite part of the day… Seeing all my family and friends there and seeing Eoin and Elliot standing there waiting for me to walk in with my dad.

Our wedding theme… We went for a classic English Rose theme with blush pinks and pastel colours. We created an intimate feeling with lots of candles. Lots of friends and family helped out and our amazing florist Marie Bradley had our flowers exactly the way I always wanted. Both sets of parents helped out with the wedding itself which was a huge help.

My piece of advice for other brides…  As much as people say it, the day really does go by in the blink of an eye. I definitely think every bride and groom should take a moment to step back and look at how far they’ve come and how much they’ve achieved with a dream wedding, and really try to capture that moment.
