There’s more to being a bridesmaid than standing up at the front alongside the couple. One of the tasks bridesmaids get to take on is keeping things at hand so the bride doesn’t have to carry them. If you’re not sure what to do with your phone or lipstick, ask your bridesmaids to help. Here’s our list of things your bridesmaids should carry for you!
We highly recommend that you do not carry your cellphone with you at all on the morning of your wedding. Guests who are lost may try to call you (it happens!). Suppliers may text to ask where they should set up. There are just so many reasons you would feel a lot more relaxed and ready for the day if you don’t have your phone with you!
During your wedding day, if you absolutely must have your phone with you, ask a bridesmaid to carry it.
In particular, we recommend having a mini makeup kit with the essentials. Things like your lipstick and concealer. Then you could freshen up right before your bridal portraits if needed.
Don’t be surprised if you have a stress- or dehydration-inducing headache. It happens! Ask your bridesmaid to pop some painkillers in her purse just in case you need them.
Again, you just never know what’s going to happen! If you have any hair mishaps or flyaways that need to be dealt with, hair pins to the rescue.
Everybody’s going to be shedding some tears, so it makes sense to pop some mini tissue packs into the bridesmaid’s bag. We recommend also having them at hand during the ceremony by leaving them under a seat in the front row ahead of time.
Mints are better than gum if you need a quick breath freshener. Make sure you’ve got some in your bridesmaid’s bag just in case.
