Top Wedding Hair Trends from Bridal Fashion Week 2017

Bridal fashion week is of course amazing for swooning at one gorgeous dress after the next, but it’s also a fab source of inspo for brides-to-be when it comes to hair and makeup! The runways are always full to the brim of stunning styles and the 2017 show was no different. Accessories were huge (in more ways than one) – there were plenty of statement pieces popping up from colourful floral hairpieces at Berta Bridal to pretty hairbands and crowns at Monique Lhuillier and jewelled masterpieces at Naeem Khan who used jewellery to adorn his models updos. Fresh flowers and floral crowns are still a big hit on the runways (check out Marchesa’s pretty updo below) and we’re sure we’ll be seeing plenty of 2017 brides donning some posies on their Big Day as well!

Braids were as popular as ever with lots of different takes on the pretty plaited trend popping up at various designer shows including braided details at Marchesa and fabulously intricate updos over at Alon Livne. They look fab and it’s a great way to keep your hair out of the way, especially if you’re thinking of an outdoor ceremony. There were lots of lovely laid back, romantic ‘dos showcased as well with some gorgeous boho waves – one of our faves has to be Sachin & Babi which you can check out below. And if you’re looking to channel a bit of old-school glamour, the classic Hollywood wave as seen at Anne Barge is still a timeless and popular look, perfect for brides looking to wear their hair down.
