It’s very easy to let your heart rule over your head when you’re planning your wedding. Costs can spiral out of control if you don’t stick to your budget, and that is something we are keen to don’t do.

To ensure you are prepared fully for paying for your wedding, today we have five areas you may come across unexpected costs – this is your heads up to be prepared!

Supplier travel fees

You might have fallen in love with a particular photographers work that you discovered on Instagram – brilliant! But do remember they will include travel fees within their quotation. Obviously the further they are from your venues etc, the more you will pay. This is especially true in the current climate.

Accessories & alterations

Most wedding dresses (and bridesmaids, too) will need alterations before the wedding day to ensure a perfect fit. Consider these costs before stretching your budget for the over-budget dress you’ve fallen in love with!

As well as your own accessories, your girls will need shoes, jewellery etc also. Obviously the more you have, the bigger the budget you will need.

Pre-wedding treatments

From waxing to nails, facials to hair colours, these pre-wedding treatments will soon add up so ensure they are included within your budget.

Decor and flower set-up and removal

If you have chosen elaborate floral and styling decor details you will of course have to pay for it to be set up and removed the following day. Make sure these services are included within your quotes before you sign contracts.

Next day outfits

Lots of couples are choosing to spread their celebrations across several days and of course you’ll want something extra special to wear – include it in your budget!

With precise planning and a thought through approach, you can have everything you want at your wedding, just as long as you include it within your budget!
