My, oh my! This vintage glamour wedding was one of our best recent discoveries on Style Me Pretty (yes, we do spend a lot of time on there, but it’s obvious why!). This is, in a word (or three words), vintage done right. It’s not over-detailed, giving that simple uncluttered look to the photos that’s a pleasure to look at. You see this and think ‘this is a couple who knew exactly what they wanted’. According to Style Me Pretty, the inspiration was Audrey Hepburn with a bit of Going to the Chapel mixed in.
As a result, we just can’t say what we love most about it! We bet you’ll have just as much difficulty picking your favourite part of this. First it was definitely the bride’s makeup (the lipstick!). Then it was the shoes. But then we saw the table numbers. And then the cake! Finally, the head piece with the veil! Therefore, we have to admit defeat and declare this ‘vintage glamour perfection’.
Well, if you’re going to take anything away from this wedding (after you recover from the swoon), do note these key bits. First, blue is extremely flattering and photogenic, as you can see from the photos below. Second, you don’t have to decide on one pair of shoes. This bride had two (white and red), and why not? And third, keep things simple. Simple, simple, simple. This all looks pulled together because everything is really pared back, with smooth surfaces (cake), clean lines (bride’s dress), and the perfectly matched white of the groom’s tux. There’s only one wild thing in this whole party, and that’s the bouquets with peacock feathers. Nice and strong, we really love this! Finally, note the bridesmaids’ dresses – a beautiful classy contrast of black and white, and the dresses themselves are also classy and simple. Yes, a thousand times yes.
