We’ve barely settled in to 2014 and already the 2015 wedding dresses collections are arriving on our desktops! Not that we’re complaining, of course. Emerging trends for 2015/2016 bridal are much the same as this year, with the statement back still a major feature in most dresses – and Watters has the trend down to a T.
Watters is a brand known for affordable, couture wedding dresses, where meticulous attention to detail is applied to form fitting gowns that show the feminine figure to its fullest. Watters Brides is the design house’s premier line, and consists of gowns featuring exquisitely beaded and embroidered corsets, luxurious lace flourishes and intricate appliqués.
Watters Brides’ 2015 collection, entitled ‘Venetian’ is inspired by the alluring city of Venice and contains some of the designer’s most glamorous gowns to date. Silhouettes include fabulously full ballgowns – featuring delicate handkerchief layers and intricately beaded bodices – and the most flattering fit and flares which use opulent embroidery and soft flowing skirts to create a dramatic, glamorous feel.
As we’ve mentioned, Watters has the statement back perfected, using delicate lace details such as scalloping and chic illusion buttons from top to bottom. The result is chic, elegant gowns which look like a dream to don.
Watters Brides is available from Myrtle Ivory, Dublin and The White Room in Mullingar. Watters Bridesmaids is stocked in The Bridal Rooms at McElhinneys in Donegal.

D.I.D by Watters
Watters’ newest line, D.I.D, was launched this year as the answer to the boho beach trend that has become so popular among brides-to-be. Watters describes the line as “one part Napa Valley chic, one part laid-back elegance, one part Boho, sultry charm. A beautiful mix.” We’re loving the mix of alluring A-line skirts and the most simple sheaths which are given a glamorous edge with handkerchief layers and delicate lace details. D.I.D is the ideal line for those searching for a dream destination dress, with floral embellished gowns for garden weddings, boho style sheaths for the beach, and short, chic A-lines for city brides.
There are no confirmed stockists for D.I.D Watters in Ireland just yet, but we think they’ll be whipped up by a chic bridal store very soon!
