Wedding Budget Splurges You’ll Never Regret

Budgets

It’s no surprise that weddings cost a lot of money. While there are lots of creative ways to save money, there will also be a few items you should put at the top of your wedding budget priority list. If you splurge in all the right places, you won’t regret it. Take a peek at our list below…

Choosing an amazing photographer

Your wedding photographer is the one who will tell your wedding story visually. The photos you will have at the end will be framed, displayed and shared for years to come. This is why it’s so important to choose wisely! Not all photographers cost ‘an arm and a leg’, but the most experienced photographers are well worth every penny. Similarly, a wedding videographer will capture all your special moments, even those you didn’t get to see! Your day really does fly by, so having a wedding video to relive those moments is something you will treasure forever. Click here to view wedding videographers in Ireland.

A dining experience to remember

If there’s something everybody will be talking about for years to come, it’s the food. There are lots of ways to create memorable food experiences throughout the day; A crepe station after the ceremony, a DIY food bar for cocktail hour, a delicious plated meal at the reception and something special for guests to enjoy at night. I’m thinking a chocolate fountain, Tayto packs, donut walls, a popcorn bar or a candy cart. Watch as your guests’ faces light up when they enjoy the experience!

Hiring a wedding planner

A wedding planner is a superhero. This is the person who will bring your wedding dreams to life, introduce you to your dream wedding supplier team and take care of the spreadsheets and logistics so you don’t have to. If remaining stress-free is a priority for you (and it should be!) then you should consider hiring a wedding planner.

And if a wedding planner isn’t in your wedding budget, consider hiring a day-of coordinator. You’ll still do all the planning, but you’ll have somebody taking care of everything on the day.

Booking your dream venue

Your wedding venue plays a huge role in your overall wedding plans. It’s all about the location, availability, as well as the look, feel and general vibe. So, whether you are dreaming of a cozy country house, a majestic Irish castle, a fabulous hotel or a destination wedding venue, don’t be put off by the price tag. It’s a cost you won’t regret so be sure to prioritise this in your wedding budget.

If you’re struggling to find your dream wedding venue, take a look at our Venue Finder. Trust me, it’s way more efficient than using Google to find your ideal wedding venue.

The one thing that’s most important

And this one is a personal choice. Take a moment to sit down with your Other Half and work out what your priorities are. When you picture your wedding day, do you envision a packed dancefloor with all your guests having the best time? Then put your wedding band and DJ at the top of your list! Do you picture feeling your absolute best and most confident? Then make sure you select a hairstylist and makeup artist who really click with you. Are you hoping for the honeymoon of a lifetime? Make sure you don’t skimp on that!

The point I’m trying to make is that there will be a handful of things that you, as a couple, value above everything else. You will never regret spending money on these things, so make sure they are at the top of your wedding budget priority list!
