We met… in University in one of our courses. A lot of luck and destiny led us into the same working group.
Our proposal… took place one day before her 30th birthday in Hamburg at the restaurant of the newly opened Westin Hotel in the Elbphilharmonie. And she did not expect a thing.
Our wedding theme/colours… blush rose, blue and copper.
My dress… is from Enzoani Blue in a light blush colour.
My hair and makeup… I did it myself. I wanted to look like me.
His suit… was a tailor-made blue mixture between a tuxedo and a suit by Cove&Co.
What our bridal party wore… Chi Chi London.
Our ceremony… was the most beautiful day of our lives. It was a free wedding held by our best friends. That´s why it was so emotional. They knew us for such a long time.
We chose our photographer because… his pictures are amazing. We did not want a “classic” wedding photographer. His pictures were catching so many emotions and it’s more like telling a story than taking a picture. He is one of the most honest and one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. His work is art.
We chose our wedding coordinator, D’Inspiration Dubrovnik, because… it just clicked. She had the same vision as we did. From the very first moment, she knew what we were looking for and we were on the same page.
We chose our venue because… this place is just magical and we wanted our day to be just perfect. We booked it even before we had been there for a site inspection.
Our menu… was a four-course menu and our guests had to choose between two different menus. Menu Anemone (Octopus and fennel salad with flavored crostini; Ravioli with lobster and sauteed vegetables; Filet of sea bass on bed of mashed potatoes and citrus fruit, served with sautéed green beans and champagne creme sauce; blueberry cheesecake) or Menu Amaryllis (Beef Carpaccio on arugula with parmesan cheese, capers and truffle oil; creamy risotto with green asparagus and Williams pear; pork medallions in wild mushroom ragout with sautéed red onions and pumpkin cookie; white chocolate and cranberry cake).
Our honeymoon… will be in November 2018. We will stay 8 nights in the Kanuhura in the Maldives and another 4 nights in Dubai and we are super excited 🙂
My favourite part of the wedding day… the moment my dad and I started walking down the aisle.
My piece of advice for other brides… stay calm 🙂
