Life might look a whole lot different at the minute but wedding planning continues and our fabulous suppliers are working hard to help you plan with ease and not miss out on any of the magical experience. Today we’re delighted to bring you a comprehensive list of suppliers, Irish venues and bridal boutiques, who are offering a virtual service.
City North Hotel, Gormanstown
We are being as flexible as possible with couples planning their weddings. Especially those who are going ahead with their weddings in the coming weeks and months in 2021. We find that most couples are happy to share a video call either on zoom, google meets, Microsoft teams or WhatsApp video. We use them all!
For couples shopping for their wedding venue for the first time, we send a short questionnaire for them to complete online before our call. This allows us to have the relevant content and images ready for them in a customised presentation and virtual tour. We have invested in technology that allows the couple to meet with up to four of our team at the same time, the camera is sound sensitive so focuses on whoever is speaking at the time. This could be their wedding coordinator, chef, duty manager or accommodation manager. So we can have a full final details meeting without the couples being physically present!
Communication is key for wedding couples during this time, and thankfully technology, as with other businesses, has allowed us to stay in touch as often as is required.
We have signed up to the Failte Ireland Safety Charter and we can virtually walk through all of the spaces booked for different parts of couples wedding day, and explain the safety features and the movement of guests, serving of food etc. This puts the couples at ease, leaving nothing unexpected on their day, but also gives them the comfort to reassure guests, as safety is such a big concern for all right now.
To make an appointment, we usually receive an email first, then arrange a date for the first virtual meeting, and forward the online questionnaire. It is a very simple process, but we hope to get back to meeting couples in person soon. There is no comparison to physical meeting but we will remain virtual for now!

We have introduced a series of changes to help with couples who cannot come into view our historic wedding venue during lockdown. Our dedicated wedding coordinator will be on hand to have an initial call to work out what kind of day you are looking for. We will follow up this call with all the information material you may need along with an interactive 3D tour our property. This will be followed by a virtual show around of the property. Here the wedding coordinator will walk you through the property and discuss our package details. This will be a great opportunity to ask as many questions you would like. We understand that couples are frustrated and worried so we will be on hand to walk you through our flexible packages and booking process.

The Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge
We are very flexible with the day and time and can arrange to suite the couple ie evening weekend etc. Appointments are hosted by our experienced wedding team and we give a step by step tour of the venue in real time and the couple can ask questions as we progress through. We have all the rooms fully set ie arrival reception room, banqueting room and civil ceremony room. This allows the couple to visualise the rooms as they would be for their own wedding ie centrepieces, layout etc.
We follow up with our new video of the venue which allows the couple to watch at their leisure, allowing them to pause, play or rewind sections as required. This is send via email link so they can share with their family members.

Tullamore Court Hotel, Tullamore

The Millhouse, Slane
The Millhouse are offering virtual viewings by appointment only and has to be booked on our website www.themillhouse.ie.
Weather Permitting the couple can view the Pavilion, the Orchard, and an external view of the Millhouse and our Orangery.
We also have a waiting list for viewings on site once Level 5 restrictions are eased.

The Johnstown Estate, Enfield
Virtual wedding showarounds can be arranged via email or by telephone. During the show around you have the chance to meet our dedicated wedding Coordinator, Tamara McElroy. You will experience a full 3D tour of the Estate and wedding setups and have the chance to talk through each of our wedding packages in more detail. Stay safe and enjoy a tour of the Estate from the comfort of your own home.

Temple House Estate, Ballymote
At Temple House Estate we welcome couples to join in a virtual show around which can be arranged at a convenient time to suit every couples needs. We advise couples share their preferred date which dictates whether we can use the terraced gardens and if the open fires will be lit. I also like to know how many guests they anticipate so that I know how the party will flow from room to room, and which rooms. We adjust the party layout depending on numbers. It is important to ensure that there is good energy and flow whatever the numbers. The choice of ceremony is important too. I can then picture how to start the tour. Whenever possible we hold the ceremonies in the garden over looking the lakeside castle ruins or in the gallery which has a wonderful skylight.
Couples will receive the most from a virtual tour if they have spent a little time browsing the pictures online and also have prepared a list of any immediate questions. In my opinion there is no alternative to a live interactive personal tour. We have prepared some more videos which we can offer as refreshers to couples who have already enjoyed their own private show around. Talbot Hotel, Carlow
Couples can book virtual appointments by calling, emailing, Direct Message or Private Message on all our social media platforms and the hotel number as the phones are always monitored. You can also book directly from our website. I set up a zoom meeting with the couple with the time that suits them and we go from there.
On my show arounds I show them the ballroom which is set up for a wedding, the bridal suite and then I go through the wedding packages with them and answer all their queries as we go.

Imperial Hotel, Cork
As we are currently closed our to the current Level 5 restrictions we have been enjoying zoom calls with couples to showcase our wedding venue. Once couples submit their enquiry via the website I will follow up with an email to offer virtual showarounds of the hotel. Our beautiful Ballroom and ceremony room are fully set up with wedding decor so couples can view how it might look on their day without missing out on any of the finer details. We run through the whole running order of the day itself from arrival to finish and answer any questions the couple might have.
