The week of your wedding is a big one with plenty of things to do. Between giving your venue a final headcount, gathering the legal documents and everything in between, you've got your work cut out for you. So, you'll be relieved to see a few items to avoid. Yup, that's right. Here's our list of things not to do the week of your wedding.
Start new DIY tasks
The week of your wedding is not the time to begin something new. Use this time to finalise the tasks you've already begun and do delegate any DIY projects you can't complete yourself.
Eat foods that bloat
There are some foods that are notorious for bloating. If you want to be comfortable and to look and feel your absolute best, then avoid these foods the week of your wedding.

Try new skincare products
If you plan to get into a good skincare routine, do this way before the week of your wedding. For now, just do what you know works. You just don't know when your skin will react badly to a new product, so resist the urge try new things.
Get a bold new haircut
We're all for couples experimenting with something new and exciting, but you probably want to do this months before your wedding day. That way, you've got time to get used to the style and grow it out if you really don't like it.
Go on a crazy adventure
Always wanted to go skydiving? Your friends invited you to go mountain biking? While these sound incredibly fun, we recommend saving them for another time. Avoid any activities that may result in last minute injuries.
Make big changes
Now is not the time to rethink the seating plan or the centrepieces. To avoid the unnecessary stress, trust in the plans you've already made.
Stress about the weather
The reality is, you can't change the weather, so there's no point in stressing about it. Create a Plan B, and together with your wedding planner and venue co-ordinator, make a final decision a couple of days in advance.
Allow yourself to get overwhelmed
Do everything in your power to remain stress-free. I know it's easier said than done, but there really are ways you can remain level-headed and avoid feeling overwhelmed.
