Ballinacurra House is inviting brides and grooms-to-be through their doors to see why it is the venue of choice for couples looking for a unique setting to hold their big day. The strictly private venue is renowned amongst industry insiders for its beautifully bespoke weddings set on a magnificent and private 40-acre estate, where couples and their guests can feel at home while still being waited on 24/7. The mantra of this 18th Century manor house is downsizing, not downgrading – Ballinacurra excels in small, intimate weddings for couples looking for that often illusive ‘something different’ for their big day.

Inside, the house is a place of wonder. Individually designed and themed rooms are dotted throughout the house, creating a magical setting for guests to mosey around as they sip delicious Champagne and munch on delectable canapés. The team offer a tailored, but flexible, approach to all of their events, meaning that you can make your wedding as reflective of your personality as you wish.

“The biggest challenge for couples is how to make your wedding unique, special and cost-effective – without compromising quality,” says Des McGahan, owner Ballinacurra House, “this is why small, bespoke weddings are making a comeback. It would be easy to look at cost cutting exercises but we believe its better to invest in quality. If couples are looking for something very different from the usual traditional hotel style wedding – this is what we do.”

Award

Ballinacurra House Kinsale, was recently crowned the “Exclusive Wedding Venue of Year”, in the annual WeddingsOnline.ie Awards 2013. Over 28,000 brides and grooms nationwide voted for their 100 Best Wedding Suppliers and 50 Best Wedding Venues in a wide range of categories, who were then judged by a panel of expert industry specialists, with decisions based on quality of work and a real wedding experience. Judges this year were David Heneghan from CX Index, Mark Richardson & Associates from Irish Mystery Shopping, Tara Fay from Xena Productions & Alan Berg, Education Guru for WeddingWire in the US.

“It’s a great endorsement as we celebrate 10 years in 2013″, said owner Des McGahan, “and we believe that we have pioneered the market for exclusive estate rentals. We also won a Best Exclusive Hire Property at the luxury travel Awards in Cannes in 2007, and Kinsale Business of the Year 2008, and we think this these are all major achievements in these challenging times.”
