Glowing skin: With the increased interest in skincare, healthy looking skin with a fresh glow is an aim for many a bride. Get a head start by drinking loads of water. Water will help with the clarity, hydration, plumpness and natural glow of your skin. Makeup will sit & last better on good skin to allow for the glowing goddess look of your dreams!
Perfected brows: We have seen both extremes of brows come and go, from strong sharpie brows to fluffy brushed up brows. What I personally think is always complementary is a smooth and perfected version of your natural shape in a suitable colour to give a completed polished look.
Matte eyes: Matte eyes have become a more and more popular request, along with the rise of the “soft glam” look (which uses a lot of neutral tones in matte finishes). The result is cool and sultry eyes in as natural or smokey effect as you want.
Individual lashes: Lashes always finish off a look and add to the pop many brides look for on the eyes. Strip lashes give a stronger look but the downside is there is always a chance of a corner lifting due to sweat, tears, wind etc. However individuals don’t pose this risk, they also give a more natural effect for those who want that, they are infinitely more comfortable, and can be customised from a full set to just a few on the corners.

I absolutely love bridal make up, and adore being part of such a magical day for so many previous and future brides.
I do think make up is such an important part of the wedding day, it is so important to make the bride feel like the most beautiful version of herself and to do that you must have communication months prior to the wedding day to make sure that the brides style of make up is what you are about. If the bride aligns with your style things can run so much smoother on the day.
A trial is so important as we get to find out not only the style of make up you love but what kind of skin prep you are currently doing and if there may be a few tweaks needed to help with the longevity of the make up on the day which is what every bride wants. A trial is normally 1hr to 2 hrs long but so worth it as it will help the bride decide what style of make up she wants before the day which helps avoid any stress or panic on the day.
I have noticed from last year and even the year before a lot of brides are loving the no make up make up look, less is more kind of vibe and I am all on for that as that is the style of make up I love. It is so easy to enhance someone’s features without overdoing it with make up products, keep it simple but glam so brides still feel like themselves when they look in the mirror which is so important.
I do believe good communication prior to the wedding is so important. Good communication puts both the bride and make up artist at ease and helps with having the calm, stress-free vibe you want to have on your wedding morning.

2025 I feel will see a strong emphasis on skin for brides, a much more pared back look with the skin being the star of the show. Glowing, hydrated and beautifully finished. Soft pinks and mauves are definitely the go to tones with a light wash of colour on the eyes and a ittle pop on the cheeks and lips for that youthful glow. Less is definitely going to be more this year.

When it comes to bridal makeup, the most important thing is choosing a look that makes you feel comfortable and confident. While trends come and go, timeless beauty is always in style. I believe skin should always look like skin—flawless, glowing, and radiant rather than heavy or overly done.
Many of my brides opt for a “natural glam” look, which enhances their features without overpowering them. This style is effortlessly elegant and never goes out of fashion. Soft, warm tones are my go-to, with golden hues on the eyes adding a touch of luxury and warmth. These shades complement every skin tone, creating a beautifully polished finish.
One of my absolute must-haves is MAC Dainty blush—a soft pink with a hint of gold shimmer. It suits everyone, giving a fresh, youthful glow and just the right pop of colour to the cheeks.
While most of my brides love a natural glam look, I also adore creating full-glam makeup when that’s what a bride is used to. A bold, defined look can be just as stunning and timeless when done right.
For the upcoming season, I predict a continued love for radiant, dewy skin paired with soft, romantic makeup. Think glowing complexions, subtly defined eyes, and lips in delicate nudes, peaches, and soft pinks. The key is enhancing natural beauty rather than masking it, ensuring a bridal look that feels as good as it looks.
Each of my brides styles highlights the beauty of glowing, naturally enhanced skin, proving that bridal makeup should be about feeling your best while embracing your own unique style.

The most common request I receive from brides is “I want to look like myself… only better!” This translates to a more natural look that enhances their features without appearing overly made up. The trend is moving away from heavy contouring and dramatic make-up toward a fresh, glowing complexion with an emphasis on the eyes. My clients generally prefer a simple, timeless, and elegant style. While each bride has her own unique preferences, such as a softer or bolder lip colour, the overall goal is a sophisticated look that translates beautifully both in photographs and in person. This aligns with the shift toward simpler, more elegant wedding dresses that resemble evening wear, with brides often opting to add a pop of colour through their floral arrangements.
