Davey Music
The musicians of Davey Music have over thirty years of experience performing at weddings throughout Ireland. Our wedding music packages are completely flexible and customisable and will provide only the finest Irish traditional music for any (or every!) part of your wedding day. Our repertoire for the wedding ceremony is centred on a combination of liturgical and Irish traditional music, and we can also include light classical items. For the drinks reception we usually play a more upbeat selection, with a range of Irish traditional dance music, and songs, if required. Background music for the wedding dinner can create an elegant atmosphere and after dinner, our evening function band ‘The Blackstaff Céilí Band’ can entertain your guests with all the popular Irish folk and contemporary classics, vocal and instrumental, or, if you would like more audience participation, we can provide the music for all the favourite Irish céilí dances. Arundó
Based in Munster, the folks Arundó have been sprinkling their musical magic across Ireland for over two decades! These guys aren’t just any trad band; their sound is built around the oh-so-unique and beautifully haunting Uilleann Pipes.
Whether you’re dreaming of a soulful, traditionally Irish style for your ceremony as you make your grand entrance (those pipes really do add something special!), or fancy a lively, foot-tapping backdrop for your drinks reception, Arundó has you covered. They’re experts at creating the perfect Celtic atmosphere for any special day.
And if you’re feeling adventurous later on? Dust off those dancing shoes because Arundó can even get a proper Céilí going with a caller to guide you through the steps! Described as an “exciting, fresh endeavour to create something new; a unique blend of improvisation, folk, world and contemporary” (The Irish Times) Chris Comhaill’s virtuosic performances of trad music have seen him travel the world with his guitar. He has been invited to perform his ‘Dúchas Celtic Guitar’ project at the Irish Embassy in Tanzania, the Irish Cultural Centre London and the Florence Academy of Art Italy, as well as having sold out shows in prestigious venues such as the Whale Theatre, St. Patricks Cathedral and the National Concert Hall of Ireland in his hometown of Dublin. His debut EP ‘Fuinneog’ (2023) received critical acclaim upon release and offers a window into his musical world marrying contemporary, classical and Celtic. His repertoire of Celtic music for the guitar has amassed 150,000+ views on YouTube and his innovative use of technology and contemporary approaches with traditional melodies has been spell-binding audiences. Chris is delighted to bring his unique approach to traditional Irish music to your celebrations!
