Today we’re celebrating a local business who goes above and beyond with their company practices to offer a sustainable and eco driven business, a vey important factor and one which we applaud and love to encourage. Dansa Coffee are a mobile coffee trailer and ice cream bicycle based in Mallow, Co. Cork. They cater across the country for weddings, festivals, sporting events and corporate and private hire. We chatted with Daniel and Lisa to learn about the sustainable practices they have aded to the business to make it friendlier to the environment…
At the heart of our mobile coffee trailer and ice cream bike is a deep commitment to sustainability and supporting Irish small businesses. Every scoop we serve and every cup we pour is a reflection of our values—caring for the environment while helping to sustain our local economy.
We proudly source as many Irish-made products as possible, from our coffee beans and artisan gelato to our compostable cups, lids, stirrers, spoons, and napkins—all of which are produced right here in Ireland. By doing this, we not only reduce food and product miles but also help support a network of small Irish suppliers and craftspeople.
Our baked goods are freshly made to order based on the number of wedding guests, which means no waste and only the freshest treats on the day. And when the coffee is done brewing, the grounds are composted—either in our home garden or through our compost bins—closing the loop and nourishing the soil.
Even our finishing touches, like personalised stickers and company cards, come from local Irish printers. It’s all part of our mission to keep things local, thoughtful, and as sustainable as possible.
When you choose our mobile trailer and ice cream bike, you’re not just getting a delicious experience—you’re also making a choice that’s kinder to the planet and better for Irish communities.
