My Name is Maura and my business is “The Fairygodmother” also known on instagram as @weddingplanningfairy. I started my business in August 2024 of this year and launched at the RDS wedding fair and my first client was Mrs Erin McGregor Kavanagh. Since then I joined WeddingsOnline and specialise in bringing the magic to your special day. We offer a variety of different wedding packages which includes zoom wedding planning consults that can be booked as needed, audio guest books but my main focus is as a content creator.
As a June 2024 bride myself I know all the effort that goes into wedding planning and my goal is to make it less stressful and more fun for the couples. I have all the tips and tricks they need for planning their fairytale wedding day.

What is your favourite part of a wedding to capture?
My favourite part of a wedding to capture as a content creator would be when the bride and groom lock eyes as she is walking down the aisle- there is something so magical in that moment and the excitement and love in their eyes is beautiful to witness and treasured memories for them to look back on! These can be shot too a photographer doesn’t always capture so it’s important to me that I capture all the shots I know a couple really want!
Summer or winter wedding?
I always imagined I would be more of a winter wedding kind of girl but having gotten married of June this year I would have to pick summer. We had the best day of the year- the sun was shining as our horse and carriage came into the castle grounds, our videographer was able to use his drone and our guests enjoyed their champagne and canapés out in the gardens overlooking the stunning grounds of Bellingham Castle! I am a Summer bride but I do love the decor ideas and cosy Christmas feels a winter wedding can add! I still had my bridesmaids in sequins despite it being summer and the sun just made them sparkle even more! Summer or winter I love weddings all year round!
Dress or shoes?
As a bride it has to be all about the dress. The shoes are very rarely seen. I had diamante encrusted glass slipper style cinderella shoes from Jimmy choo and as stunning as they were not many of my guests would have seen them as all eyes are on the dress! After the meal the shoes come off and it’s cosy slippers for the night to dance away so definetely it’s all about THE DRESS!
