Save the dates

A save the date card is an extra some couples choose to use. If your wedding is abroad, or your guests are travelling from overseas, they are a great idea to lay your intention of inviting them. You don’t need to include all your key wedding details, such as exact starting times etc but you should include date and location, and a note that the invitation will follow.

Invitation suite

Your invitation suite will include all the essential information on your wedding day. You should aim to send them out at least six weeks before the wedding. Key details to include are date, time, ceremony and reception locations.

You should look for your perfect stationery supplier early in within your planning process. As your invitation is the first introduction your guests will have, you want to impress!

Extras to include in your suite are response card, gift list details, accommodation guides and directions.

Ceremony program/mass booklet/order of service

The most vital piece of on the day stationery your guests will need. The mass booklet, or order of service will include the running order of the ceremony, details of the bridal party and thanks from the couple. For ideas and advice head to our countdown here.

Place cards

Moving on to the reception, if you have chosen individual place cards, it’s a great idea to have these included in your original stationery quote. They make a lovely little keepsake for your guests.

Table plan

Placed close to they entrance of your reception room the table plan will guide each guest to their seat at the correct table. This handy piece of info is especially important these days when families will be encouraged to stay within their own social bubbles.

Menu cards

Your venue may provide personalised menu cards within their package, but it’s a good idea to ask your stationer to include them as a possible, so it’s not an unexpected price.

Thank you cards

With your day over thank you cards that thank your guests for their attendance and gifts is always a good idea, believe me, that old aunt won’t ever pipe down until hers lands on the doorstep! To keep your wedding theme consistent ordering your thank you cards along with the rest of your stationery is a great idea.
