Anti-viral tablets for cold sore virus

Hi Everyone, Anyone have to take anti-viral tablets (accicvcloveer) during pregnancy. I got the cold sore virus in a different form around my eye, around 15 spots really painful and had to go on anti-viral tablets for 5 days. I had no choice or it could have spread to my whole face (which has happened before). Anyone know if its ok to take them. Due in 4 weeks and worried they may have affected the baby. Thanks

Yes I took them early on. Was very ill in hospital with hyperemesis and got cold sores all inside my nose (yuk). Doctor assured me they were safe. Don't be fretting and good luck!
